Ghost fits a Bradley-Terry model to game-level results by maximum
likelihood. Games lose weight on a three-year half-life, so recent play
drives a rating while old play fades without ever fully expiring.
How it works.
Ratings only compare players connected by a chain of matches. Circuits that
rarely meet are ranked against each other on thin evidence.
